Welcome to Katy And Blue Go To The Movies.
A little information about what you're about to listen to, should you choose to do so. It's perhaps easier to describe what this show is not. It is not Ebert and Roeper. It is not film criticism or film scholarship. You could compare it to Car Talk, insofar as we are siblings, talking... but we don't know much about cars. Nor do we claim to know as much about movies as the Car Talk guys do about cars. So that analogy only goes so far. One inspiration for this show is the Regular Guy movie reviews on WXRT in Chicago -- for those of you who remember that. We don't pretend to know a lot about film. What we do have experience with is going to the movies together and talking about it.
For maximum enjoyment, it is recommended that you adjust your expectations accordingly.

Welcome to Episode 4, where we face our summer movie options. We talk about some popcorn fare, with a twist: the buddy comedy "Harold and Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay" and the comic book hero flick "Iron Man".
This episode's all about the screwball comedy: the original ones from the 30's and 40's - specifically "His Girl Friday" with Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell - and comparing it, contrasting it, with the latest incarnation of the genre, George Clooney's "Leatherheads", recently in theaters.
This time we are talking about a Romanian movie called 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days and the Kimberly Pierce Iraq War drama, Stop-Loss. We talk a little about Juno, too, as we said we would, but not as much as we might have seemed like we were going to. So, apologies to those of you who wanted to hear a lot more about that movie.
